Development of Multimode Flight Transition Strategy for Tilt-Rotor VTOL UAVs

The purpose of this paper is to establish a transition strategy for tilt-rotor vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) based on an optimal design method. Firstly, flyable corridor was calculated both the UAV’s dynamic equations its aerodynamic characteristics. UAV were organized into state equation forms. initial final value constraints control variables in process recorded, as process. problem transformed with constraints, while Gauss pseudospectral method (GPM) employed transform solve problem. In addition, performance indicators designed quality requirements time, attitude stability, continuity. Sensitivity analyzed according different index terms dimensions effects. Finally, rationality verified simulation scenarios.
